There are some things that Midwesterners do best, and one of them is dips. Midwesterners understand the importance of a creamy, delicious dip. Take, for instance, the 7-layer dip. A staple of Super Bowl parties and potlucks across the region, the 7-layer dip is as gluttonous and nonsensical as it is delicious. It’s more like a casserole than a dip, and who had the bright idea of combining canned olives and taco seasoning in the same bite?
