People ponder whether the art of conversation is lost among people over 25: ‘I might as well carry a mic around for all the interviews I conduct’

Objectionable social skills: they aren’t just reserved for the youth of today. According to some, there are plenty of adults out there who just don’t appreciate the art of conversation like they used to. Ever got talking to somebody at a party and realized that all they want to do is give you a monologue instead of engaging in a back-and-forth? Apparently, that is becoming more and more common, and it has been complained about in one recent Twitter thread. Many wannabe conversationalists congregated to suggest that a lot of people were not good at talking to one another, and they came from all different types of age groups. From maintaining a dialogue to simply remembering to ask others questions, there are a lot of issues here. Say what you like about small talk, it exists because it serves a purpose that we probably shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss.
