According to some, there are plenty of adults out there who just don’t appreciate the art of conversation like they used to. Ever got talking to somebody at a party and realized that all they want to do is give you a monologue instead of engaging in a back-and-forth? Apparently, that is becoming more and more common, and it has been complained about in one recent Twitter thread. Many wannabe conversationalists congregated to suggest that a lot of people were not good at talking to one another, and they came from all different types of age groups. From maintaining a dialogue to simply remembering to ask others questions, there are a lot of issues here. Say what you like about small talk, it exists because it serves a purpose that we probably shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss.
