We’ve all seen viral videos of weddings being ruined by thoughtless grooms. Who could forget the video of a man holding a sign behind him that read «Help Me» during his own wedding ceremony? Countless viral moments basically amount to «groom shoves cake in his bride’s face and goes way too far.» I don’t think I’m alone in finding these videos weird and suspicious. Why a man would want to humiliate and degrade the woman he supposedly loves most in the world on what’s supposed to be the happiest day of her life is beyond me. 

While those videos can display obvious disrespect, some tow a fine line between playful cruelty and genuine silliness. A video of a groom spraying his wife with champagne recently went viral and is getting mixed responses. Some say they’re clearly having fun with it, while others think it’s indicative of his lack of care for her.
