Let’s be real: even the most seasoned chef is capable of a kitchen disaster now and then, so what hope is there for the rest of us? It’s all too easy for a measurement to go awry or an oven temperature to get changed and then boom, you’re left with something inedible. At the same time, though, if you are following a recipe most of the time it’s only your lack of attention to detail that can be blamed for things going awry. You might think reading instructions is simple enough for most people, but judging by some of the comments on online recipes that really isn’t the case. At least it gives us some funny moments to roll our eyes at, as can be seen in the examples below.
