Mom protests when mother-in-law makes weekly visits to 5-month-old granddaughter at workplace daycare: ‘It’s not like daycare is the only time she gets to see her’

It is pretty normal for new parents to feel very protective over their kids. After all, they have just been tasked with the responsibility of helping another life that they created to survive and thrive, and it is a moment that some spent a long time longing for before it actually happened. Of course, they want to feel like they are doing everything right and that other people aren’t getting in the way of that.

This can sometimes mean that disagreements arise with others, especially close family members and grandparents. It is easy to feel like they are trying to overstep the boundaries when it comes to their behavior and role. While this can often be true, other times there are more factors at play when it comes to how and when they interact with the baby. It isn’t always a case of there being bad intentions or bad outcomes.
