A big part of gaming is the gaming community. Just like any fandom, the gaming fandom is fierce, it likes what it likes, and it fosters friendships just as easily as it does enemies. If you meet someone who plays the same game as you, you instantly have something to talk about. For example, when I meet a fellow Dress to Impress player, my eyes immediately light up. Maybe I can ask them to see some screenshots of their favorite looks. Maybe we can compare cheat codes and in-game hacks. And maybe we can even play a session together to, as the kids say, maximize our joint slay. 

Gaming with a friend is like hanging out with a friend, only the possibilities are endless because you’re animated. You can talk about all the things you’d normally talk about, except now you have exceptional strength and can do parkour. I, for one, cannot do parkour in real life.
