For an introvert, there’s nothing worse than being added to a group chat. For many of us, myself included, our cellphones have been on silent since we first got our SIM card, and the main reason is the stress induced by the constant notification noises. The bleepbleepbleep of my phone has sent me into an anxiety coma at times, and it’s the group chat mayhem that truly sends me. 

Truthfully, no introvert wants to take part in whatever plans the group chat is putting together anyway, so there’s really no point in adding them in there. However, there is a secret part of every introvert’s soul that makes them crave inclusion, but not like this. So, despite our hidden longing for social inclusion, ultimately, the introverted majority in our hearts will cancel at the last minute, crafting an expert excuse to get out of group plans so that we can hang out with our pets at home in our pajamas. 

That’s what peak introversion is all about.
