If you’ve ever had the misfortune of enduring an x-ray in your lifetime, you’ve probably seen the comically dramatic safety measures that the x-ray techs go through. If you know anything about radiological history, then you know that a number of scientist dudes who didn’t realize they were subjecting their bodies to invisible radiation actually suffered health problems from early x-rays… so fast-forward to present day, where it’s totally normal to be standing right in front of the same invisible gamma-ray blaster machine by choice! 

So the next time you’re a patient directed to the Radiology wing, just know that you’re about to get heavily blasted while your doctor flees the scene, hiding behind a lead wall, wearing goggles, and protective skin coverings. Meanwhile, you’re in nothing but a backless scrub to face the villainous x-ray machine. You’re left with the words of the x-ray tech saying, «Don’t worry, it’s perfectly safe», just seconds before they sprint towards the door faster than Usain Bolt.
