Part of being a good friend is supporting their artistic endeavors, but does «making» AI music count as an artistic endeavor? 

We’ve all been in the position where we’ve had to swallow our pride and go to a friend’s a cappella concert we really didn’t want to. That is, if you’re anything like me. Supporting your friends’ art is part and parcel of being a friend. You would want them to support you if you went out on a limb and expressed yourself, so why shouldn’t you? Sometimes this is a big undertaking, though. Sometimes, if they’re just starting out, they might not be very good at whatever it is they’re trying. You then have to put on a happy face and smile through it anyway. You would hate for them to be discouraged. 

But what if something crosses the line from art to… something else? Do you still have to support your friend then? That’s what came up in this story, where one woman’s venture into AI «art» made her friend start to rethink everything. So they reached out to the internet for opinions.
