Insane Drama Surrounding Release of Olivia Wilde Movie «Don’t Worry Darling» Prompts Hilarious Twitter Takes

It’s a common consensus both in and out of the entertainment industry that they don’t make movies like they used to anymore. Quite often, the whole process comes across as a little… sterile. Nobody wants to deviate from the script whether they’re on screen or not, leaving us with a distinct lack of gossip.

There’s nothing out there to rival the high drama of something like Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, for example. That is, until Olivia Wilde decided that she was going to direct another movie. Don’t Worry Darling is meant to be a psychological thriller, but the real intrigue seems to have come from everything that has happened during the process of filming and promotion.

It’s hard to know where to begin when it comes to the dramatic events surrounding the film. First, there is the alleged feud between Wilde and lead actress Florence Pugh. On top of that, she began a relationship with other lead Harry Styles. After that has come the mess that has been the debut of the movie at Venice International Film Festival — including shady moves from Pugh avoiding to do press, and a decidedly fed up looking Chris Pine who may or may not have been spat on by Styles, who treated the press to an extended stream of nonsense.

Naturally, the cinema lovers of Twitter have had a field day commentating and memeing the ongoing antics that have emerged. While the movie is getting panned by most reviewers, the documentary that comes out about the making of it is inevitably going to be juicy.
