This season of The Walking Dead started off hard and brutal, but since has been struggling to hold a candle to the opening. It’s been hampered with strange writing choices and a general lack of occurrence. Thankfully, the season finale has been the 2nd best of the season and gives us hope going into the latter half.
Watching Negan dispatch Spencer in a nod to the comics was brutally satisfying and a reminder that he is not to be trifled with. The saddest casualty though, was Negan’s beard.
