It’s hard when you outgrow your friends. It happens to all of us at one point or another. Maybe you became friends in school when you were all on the same page, taking the same classes, and had the same priorities. Maybe you locked into something that you felt was going to be forever. You became such good friends that you couldn’t imagine ever not hanging out with them all the time.
When you graduate high school, you resolve to keep in touch. You get together over college breaks and summers, but before you know it, someone’s moving away, someone has a significant other in a different state, and you all start seeing each other less. It happens slowly, then all at once. Then you look up and you realize your life has moved on, neither for the better nor for the worse, just that it has. Most everyone is familiar with this feeling.
