TGIF hits even better this week since Labor Day weekend is giving office workers that freedom on Monday. A three-day weekend for someone who works a 9-to-5 is the holy grail. That is not pathetic at all. You have been working hard and now you are being rewarded by a nationally mandatory day off. Heck yes, baby! For some reason, Labor Day goes hard in the U.S. Why is that? Who knows? Maybe because it’s one of the last summer holiday weekends before fall hits. Or maybe because it has just been a long time since offices last gave out a three-day weekend. It could even be because some of use overworked folks skipped out on a vacation this summer and really need that extra day to finally relax and soak up the sun.
