The family trips are those few special times a year, where the family dynamics are really tested…yet, it is also the time when bonds are strengthened and memories are molded. It is an essential part of any family that is lucky enough to experience it, whether taking place across seas or one street away. Yet, as children grow older, their demands to grow the family trip ‘circle’ becomes greater, with a desire to add additions in the form of friends and partners. Sometimes the friends make the cut, but more likely, once a partner has fairly earned their spot, they can join the circle permanently. 

However, some partners are taken more seriously than others, and not necessarily based on whether or not they’ve given or been given a shiny ring to place upon their left hand.
