It is very common that artists find themselves in need of a massive comeback after being out of sight and out of mind for too long. The music industry is jam-packed with talented people who all want their moment in the spotlight, and it’s only natural that some get pushed to the sidelines. It is surprising, however, when that happens to an artist who has already made a name and an established career for themselves. But that is simply what happens when your entire career is based on top radio hits and Billboard charts.
Having a successful comeback after some time away from the public eye is not an easy task, even for seasoned artists with years of experience. It has to be clever, appealing, and arrive at the perfect time in order for the public to welcome the artist back with open arms. The last decade or so was filled with marvelous returns of artists to the stage—like Adele in 2021 with her album 30 or even Charli xcx with brat last summer. However, other artists failed spectacularly, and that is what we are all currently witnessing with the once-iconic Katy Perry.
