Blame late capitalism, the deathly grip of big tech, or simply the fact that most people are kind of boring, but sometimes the modern world can seem so monochrome. Shades of grey, black, and, if we’re feeling really crazy, brown, appear to be the primary color palette for everything from cars to clothes to the devices that we use. 

One of the few places we can guarantee we are always going to see some color is in the wild world of meme culture. Sure, the likes of Wojak may be pretty black and white, but many meme makers enjoy nothing more than enticing us with the kind of vibrant variety that life outside of our phone screens can sometimes lack. It is no wonder that memes so often make us smile, although it has to be said that the humor is a big help in that respect at the same time.
