Learning when it’s time to quit is a valuable skill to have in life.
Not everything is going to work out the way that we hoped, and that’s OK. Knowing when to walk away from something that is not serving us is important, as it can do more harm than good when it is allowed to carry on unabated.
When it comes to weighty topics like relationships, jobs, or money, having a clear idea of the point of no return is even more important. Spending too much time pursuing these things with little in the way of reward can have consequences that are far greater than you may expect.
Unfortunately, when somebody has invested a lot of time and energy into something, it makes it a lot less likely that they are going to stop believing in it. It doesn’t matter if everyone else can see the disaster coming from a mile away; they are committed to it.
