Spooky szn is in full swing and the air’s crisp, pumpkins are everywhere, and Halloween is creeping closer every day. Perfect timing to binge all the classic horror movies and pretend we’re not covering our eyes during the scary parts. My book club is currently reading The Shining by Stephen King, and it’s seriously setting the mood. Every time I walk down a dimly lit hallway now, I half-expect to see those twin girls staring back at me.

Last Halloween, I went to a drive-in double feature of Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street. Halfway through the movie, people dressed as monsters started sneaking up to the cars to scare us. It was both terrifying and amazing. There’s nothing quite like hearing someone scream from the next car over while Michael Myers stalks across the screen.
