The holidays are barreling straight ahead at us, and it’s a great time to be feeling nostalgic. Maybe you’re reminiscing about those Christmas mornings when you were a kid, and ripping open a new Game Boy was as close to euphoria as you have ever felt. Nothing beats Christmas when you’re a kid. It’s when we’re at our most open to joy. It’s also the time when presents have their greatest effect. Kids love toys way more than adults do. It’s just a rule of life. This is why it’s awesome to be around kids during the holidays as an adult. Even if they’re not your kids, it’s important to have the voices of children around, to remind you what it’s all for. But this is also a good time of year to look back on your childhood.
