The Harry Potter character I would least like to spend Christmas with has got to be Dudley Dursley. If you think his birthday is a whole to-do, how do you think he’ll handle Christmas, when he has to sit and watch other people who aren’t him open presents? He will not be able to sit still and manage those brief moments of happiness for someone else. Not to mention, I don’t want to spend my holiday watching him open all those presents without a smidge of gratitude! I would rather literally do anything else, and that includes sitting in Azkaban with a couple of dementors floating around my head. No wonder Harry never went back to the Dursleys during the holiday season. Christmas with Dudley is far worse than Christmas at Hogwarts alone.

Now Dobby, that’s the kind of fellow you’d love to spend Christmas with. Not only does he express the utmost gratitude for even the most paltry of gifts, but he’s also generally a great hang. He’s a beast in the kitchen, and you know that he will make a Christmas roast like no other Harry Potter character could, other than maybe Molly Weasley. Not to mention, Dobby likes socks…if you are in dire need of a stocking, Dobby would 100% let you borrow one, unless of course you’re a nefarious, bleach blonde man of a certain pureblood family. If you’re hanging with an elf on Christmas, you can’t go wrong.
