Entitled mother points out that her teen daughter’s “Gucci” birthday purse from her 15-year-old boyfriend is a fake, only for her husband to defend the boy and accuse her of being materialistic, sparking family tension: ‘I felt like it was tacky’

Wow…we’re a little bit speechless right about now. I don’t think any mother should be overanalyzing any gift a 15-year-old buys, nor commenting on its authenticity. At fifteen, you’re barely old enough to land a job at Ice Cream Land, so we’re unsure in what world this mother thinks (or expects) that her teenage daughter would be gifted an authentic Gucci bag from her 15-year-old boyfriend…It’s truly worrying that the type of lessons this mother is teaching her daughter revolves more around the price tag of a gift than the thought behind it.

No matter how old you are or how much wealth you’ve accumulated over time. Oftentimes, the most valuable gifts are the ones that cost the least. Because a designer bag can’t tell you how much it loves you, but a hand-written ten-page love letter can…A lesson this girl’s father is so evidently trying to teach his daughter, as he defends her boyfriend, and confronts his own wife’s materialistic tendencies…. Gucci, Fucci, Prada or Nada…One day, when we look back at the things we loved most, it will be the memories made with the people we love that stand out. Not whether or not the Gucci symbol on our handbag reads GG or OG…
