As we all know, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. However, it’s not due to any religious reasons, or because it’s a time to spread cheer and generosity to some of those who might need it most. No, the reason that it is so great is because we get a bunch of presents for basically no reason whatsoever. For this, we have to thank the big man in the sky — not God, but the legend that is Santa Claus in his sleigh.

Delivering all those gifts in the space of one night is no mean feat, plus it takes a pretty insane appetite to get through all those milk and cookies. The dude in the bright red suit might be breaking multiple labor laws with his elves and reindeer, but who are we to complain when we reap the benefits? Even if you stopped believing in the magic of Santa years ago, you can still appreciate his efforts in the form of memes. Maybe there is an alternate universe where we don’t have to do the gift giving ourselves.
