‘Me and 5 other dudes had to wrestle him’: Passenger tries to open airplane door mid-flight, prompts Renaissance painting response

Can people be chill on domestic flights anymore? If the last year or so of viral plane freakouts is to be believed, the answer is no. Social media is a wash with instances of passengers suffering severe cases of air rage and/or insanity, and now we’ve got another example to add to the history books.

A flight to Albuquerque was disrupted a few days ago after a man began trying to open the airplane door about thirty minutes after takeoff. One of the passengers took to Twitter to document how he and and few others had to restrain him before the plane landed, including a very atmospheric picture.

It wasn’t long before the internet had some humorous responses to the ordeal and its photographic representation. It’s not quite as memeable as the plane freakout lady, but it’s pretty amusing nonetheless (as well as great nightmare fuel for the next time you board a plane).
