Nurse drama is the best drama there is. Everything those hospital TV shows told you is totally true, and I can prove it from one social interaction. This weekend, I went out with my friend and her work friends. A majority of the dinner guests work at the same hospital together, most of them as nurses. Once we finished our delicious Colombian food, the nurses started talking about the drama at their workplace, which I happily consumed. You didn’t hear this from me, but there is a doctor at their hospital who will refuse to see a walk-in patient, even when they have no patients for hours! Hospital translators for patients who don’t speak English are nearly useless. And to top it all off, nurses in NYC don’t get any claps as they did back in June 2020. Nurses spill all the tea, and we love them for that!
