People Discuss the ‘Hidden Knowledge’ Required in Corporate Jobs

Climbing the corporate ladder is not an easy ride for most of us, and sometimes just staying on the rung that you’re on is harder still. There is tons of etiquette surrounding professional behavior in all different kinds of industries, and most of it is something that new employees have to learn in a baptism of fire. 

Unless you’ve got friends in high places, figuring out how to come across as acceptable in a new job is no mean feat. Sometimes all it takes is a minor slip of the tongue to pit the big boss against you, however unfair that might be. A recent thread on Twitter has taken to discussing this, with most agreeing that things in the corporate world are often not what they seem. You’d think that these places would make a rulebook or something, but apparently not. We’ve just got to be glad that not every single employer is always like this.
