Millennials grew up during the golden age of scientific programming for kids. Shows like Bill Nye the Science Guy and The Magic School Bus dominated the TV market and really got everybody riled up about the fun parts of science. Who could forget the classic episode of The Magic School Bus when Miss Frizzle shrinks down the school bus to microscopic size so the class can fly through Ralphie’s body and see his germs? I guess that’s what Ralphie gets for staying home sick from school and constantly sleeping in class. Can you guys tell I was subjected to this program a lot during science class?
I could never understand why Arnold (the ginger kid who constantly complained) was so opposed to the incredible experiences that Miss Frizzle provided to him. When I was a kid, I had to go to an old-timey pioneer village for a field trip. Arnold literally got to go to outer space and showed no gratitude. Clearly, he doesn’t have the scientific spirit and should’ve never been put into the classroom of such a brilliant scientific mind like Miss Frizzle.
