Selfish CEO Asks Employees To Donate Their PTO To Loyal 17-Year Employee

I’ve never understood the concept of company higher-ups asking their employees to donate their paid time off to another employee. It feels like one of those things that would only be done as a last resort, and often, that’s not the case. CEOs can easily make exceptions and give extra time off to employees, especially when they are making so much money from the labor of their other employees! PTO is a construct. You can give as much or as little of it as you want, and rarely will it affect your bottom line. Look at companies that give their employees unlimited PTO if you don’t believe me. You might think that higher-ups would try to make exceptions for employees who have shown incredible dedication to their work. For instance, an employee who has given 17 years of blood, sweat, and tears to a company. Unfortunately, that is not always the case.
