It’s been a vintage year for Pride Month inspired memes running rampant on Twitter, and it seems like the platform isn’t done yet. Despite Elon Musk’s reported views on parts of the LGBTQ+ community, the past few days have encouraged a trend that puts gender front and center.

Terror Alarm, an account that describes itself as the ‘World’s First Ai-Generated News and Views’, tweeted out an apparent statement of support for the trans community recently. Announcing that there are more than two genders, the statement was accompanied by a confusing graphic that contained different mashups of the male and female toilet signs.

This nonsensical, binary take on the gender spectrum piqued the interest of Twitter users, who started giving their own creative takes on who all these different figures could represent. Even if you belong to one of the two identities that everyone knows about, it doesn’t mean you can be defined that easily.
