Every region of the country has a certain ethos. The East Coast screams Kennedy vibes, American Revolution history, and crab cakes. The South of course is dripping with sweet tea, country music, and state-specific barbecue sauce. The southwest gives turquoise jewelry, desert landscapes, and artsy aunts. And the West Coast is all about avocado toast, taking pictures on hikes, and the occasional celebrity sighting. 

You might say the Midwest is defined by its lack of vibe. Caught between the loud-mouth coasts, we’re sometimes happy to take the back seat. Some might say we lack culture. I, for one, disagree wholeheartedly. Midwest culture is spotting a cow on a long drive and saying «cows!» having a butter burger at Culver’s, and putting cheese on anything and everything. Just because we’re not as flashy as the other areas of the country, doesn’t mean we don’t have our own distinct vibe. These memes help color the picture even further.
