Happy Friday, Marvel fans! There has been some interesting Marvel casting news afoot that I am super curious about. Last week, it was announced that Emmy award-winning actress and comedian Ayo Edebiri is dropping Thunderbolts, likely due to scheduling conflicts. What is Thunderbolts about, you may ask? Well, I had the same question too. This is the first thing that comes up when you google that question, and it’s appropriately vague. 

«A world without Avengers doesn’t mean there’s not a group of superheroes. There is a group and they’re called the Thunderbolts.»

In typical Marvel fashion, we don’t even know what role Edebiri was playing, but we do know that Australian actress Geraldine Viswanathan is taking her place. So it’s safe to assume that the character is…a young woman? They’re both comedic actresses, so maybe that comes into play? Honestly, it’s anyone’s guess, so try to enjoy these Marvel memes instead of speculating about a movie that comes out in 2025.
