Broadcasting New Year’s Resolutions on Social Media Depreciates Its Personal Meaning

Social media is great for keeping tabs on high school acquaintances, long-lost lovers, and distant, podunk relatives. Although it’s a useful tool for remaining in contact with fringe friends and family, social media’s self-curation has made many platforms become a vessel for the humble brag as users only share their best and brightest moments. Because of its shallow disposition, social media is certainly not the place to be broadcasting a personally vulnerable New Year’s resolution.

At least, not if you really want to make a meaningful change in your life.
