‘For The Better, Right?’ is one of the latest memes to capture this specific emotion. It takes a scene from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, reimagining a conversation with Padmé and Anakin on their differing attitudes towards the Galactic Republic. Padmé’s unwelcome realization about their opposing views has become a universal indicator for anything that doesn’t turn out the way we expect. While it might be too late to change things that have gone wrong in the past, at least this format means we can laugh at them.
