Earlier this summer, a woman bought two tickets to see her favorite band, who would be playing later in the year. Each ticket cost $150 and they were hard to get. She planned to go with a friend and finally see the band she had waited years to see live.
Her sister also got tickets for the same show.
But then her sister decided she needed the money more than the concert. She resold her tickets for double the price, making about $300 in profit. At the time, she seemed happy with her decision. Now, with the concert only a week away and excitement growing, the sister has changed her mind.
She wants to go after all.
Instead of buying tickets at the current resale price, she asked her sister for one of the two tickets she had already bought. She said the tickets were just meant for a friend anyway. But the answer was no.
