As a kid, you think anything you don’t have must be only for the fancy pants families who can afford it. Like a universal remote or a dishwasher. However, when you get older you realize many of these «rich family» things were just working class family things… Millennials are commenting on a post online confessing what they thought was top of the line «you made it in life» things when they were little that now, all grown up, seem pretty normal. Though many people agree that having a fridge with a working ice dispenser is still pretty top of the line… But things like having Lunchables or new shoes for the school year seemed so big time back in the day! Now, you realize, they aren’t that top notch and maybe you didn’t have them in your house because your parents just didn’t want them… Or maybe that family you idolized really was in a different tax bracket.
