Being able to read and doing it regularly is one of the simplest things we can do to improve our quality of life. No cheating and claiming that poring over a takeout menu counts, either; you have to be actually turning pages, whether physically or virtually.
All kinds of books are more or less good. Fiction enables you to escape completely into an alternate universe for however many hours it takes you to get to the final page, and non-fiction fills you up with cool facts and information (if it’s legit, that is).
While memes cannot quite capture the mixture of satisfaction and melancholy that comes from finishing a good book, they can offer an effective broadcast to the outside world of just how much you enjoy that feeling, and how regularly you get to have it. Plus, they involve words, so they are tangentially related.
