Chained as we are to our silly little lives, there are few times we get to feel truly free. That kind of power usually involves a big change in circumstances that most of us just aren’t up to a lot of the time. In exchange for that freedom, though, we have the joys of escapism. Of course, that’s where memes come in. We can’t get out of our boring 9 to 5, but we can sneak to the restroom to look at meme lists for ten minutes. Sometimes, it really is the little things.
