There are two types of people in this world: those who can only function around clean, streamlined, minimalist aesthetics, and those who love to surround themselves with a bunch of weird and colorful junk. My roommate and I both fall into the latter category, as the bright green, penis-shaped bottle opener hanging next to my head as I type this confirms. 

We’re not alone — there are plenty out there who not only enjoy collecting random crap, but also producing it as well. All the oddities of the world that find themselves in thrift shops, vintage stores, and garage sales across the land are an endlessly fascinating rabbit hole to go down, but they can also be a mildly terrifying one, too. What went through the minds of those who created many of the items on this list is anyone’s guess, but it’s probably best not to think too hard about it. Even I wouldn’t put most of these in my own home.
