Managers and HR have a talent for coming up with the worst possible rewards for employees who do good work. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but no one wants a pizza party, gift card, or golden star with their name on it. Do you know what workers would love in exchange for going above and beyond? More money.
Redditor u/No-Satisfaction-749 was so stunned by HR’s condescending «prize» for doing a good job, that they left the job shortly after receiving it. The reward was a whopping ten minute break that came with a long list of rules. Just the coordination required to even use the prize probably would have taken at least ten minutes.
