Ah, neighbors. They can be annoying enough when you rent, but property ownership brings out even more of the worst qualities in the bad ones. Case in point are homeowner associations. Theoretically, these organizations help everybody maintain standards in the neighborhood, but they are often used as an excuse for douchebaggery of the highest level. 

This was demonstrated recently on Twitter, when a paid blue check jerk seemed to beg for a dunking with a complaint about his opposite neighbor. Whining that they were the only house in the neighborhood that wasn’t part of the homeowner association, he seemed to express horror at the fact that their front yard had plants, and longer grass. 

It didn’t take long for other people to start roasting this man into oblivion, with many supporting the small but effective way in which his neighbor rebels. Clearly, this guy isn’t on board with encouraging some much-needed suburban biodiversity by foregoing lawns.
