I once saw a complaint online that socializing as an adult is just a «series of belated catch-ups.» It struck me as sad, but a little true. Everyone’s lives get so busy, that it feels like you’re always just catching up with someone you haven’t seen in a while. A true hang sesh, that’s something different entirely. A true hang sesh means a stretch of free time with a group of pals, and very little «catching up.» No, a hang sesh is about creating new memories. 

This is why friends who play DnD together stay together. Because it requires a good long hang sesh. You don’t get caught up in the humdrum of filling each other in on what’s happening in your lives, you get straight to the mean, playing a game together and bonding. It’s a perfect way to spend an evening with your adult friend group. And while you’re not playing, you can look at these memes together.
