There’s always a different smell in the air when the temperature outside dips. It’s reminiscent of that first-day-of-school feeling, posing for a photo under the technicolor foliage of late summer and early autumn. Some would argue that fall weather is the best weather compared to the other seasons, and I’d have to agree. But, people don’t really take issue with autumn. It’s what creeps up after autumn that’s the problem.

Cold weather is better than scalding hot weather, hands down. Even then, you’re likely not a fan of either extreme. The thought of wearing three layers of pants simply to prevent our legs from going numb or our faces turning bright red from the wind chill is not necessarily appetizing. So, instead of complaining about the weather we can’t control, we’ll do our best to prepare for the cold weather ahead. The first step? Getting into the right mindset.
