21 Gen X Memes 80s Kids Romanticizing the Good Ol’ Days

Why don’t kids play outside anymore?

Well, if you’ve ever played a video game and had your life changed by the cinematography, gameplay, and immersion, you have your answer. Games, in general, have shifted from playing freeze tag at the park with the local kids to signing in and playing Fortnight with your classmates online after school. There’s no real need to go outside to enjoy the human interaction and the funness of playtime.

Nowadays you can do anything online—more than just games. We can work online, we can relax online, and we can even do errands online. While it’s been a crazy ride to watch technology grow and flourish in Gen X’s lifetime, the nostalgia of the olden days is pretty powerful.
