If you were a child of the 90s, odds are you at least had a friend who was obsessed with Sylvanian family figurines, if you weren’t yourself. Those little flocked plastic dolls captured our imaginations and captured them hard. Even though we’re probably adults with jobs and lives and responsibilities, we won’t deny that sometimes we just want to queen out with our dolls. We love their little outfits and we wish we could live in their little worlds, where everything is perfectly pastel and nothing could ever go wrong. We also just want to keep them on our shelves as little windows into a world we wish we could be a part of.
These little forest animals have captured our imaginations for decades and decades, and they’re not stopping anytime soon. There are still full-blown adults collecting these little guys, and we don’t blame them. Growing your Sylvanian family is a rewarding type of collecting because you get to make them have friends, brothers, aunts, grandmothers… it’s cute, okay?
