The Funniest TikTok Ban Memes from the Shortest-Lived Hysteria in Internet History

The last two days for TikTok users (and all over social media, actually) have been a crazy ride. We went from accepting the ban we have been dreading for weeks, to saying tearful goodbyes, to a weird 12-hour silence, to a new kind of chaos once the ban was lifted.

Right before the ban, TikTok itself was flooded with content that no one knew what to make of – TikTokers confessing to their deepest darkest secrets, crying influencers, even the Duolingo account revealing who was under that giant mascot all these years. Americans were ready to say goodbye, while excited Europeans and even Canadians were more than ready to take over the app (yeah, we know what you’ve been saying about us in those 12 hours we’ve been gone).

We should have known these things would never last.

So TikTok was returned to our hands after 12 hours, and we are not really sure what to do anymore. Do we delete the Rednote app? Do we unsubscribe from all the TikTokers we subscribed to on YouTube? Do we just continue doomscrolling on our beloved app like nothing ever happened?
