We’re nearing the end of January, which means the longest month of all time is slowly inching to a close. Why does it feel like there are so many days in this month, like more than usual? Something about it getting dark so early plus the cold weather plus the lack of holidays makes me feel crazy. We’re just expected to work week after week with nothing interrupting it. Give me a break (literally). This month can feel especially long if you have kids in the house.
They’re probably bored too, and kids love nothing more than to bother you when they’re bored. They will interrupt your quiet time with any manner of questions and queries, from «Why do you look so old, Momma?» to «What was on Earth before the dinosaurs?» and «Can we buy a swimming pool? I saw one on Amazon.» Their little brains can come up with so much.
