As much as we may want to, we cannot predict anything that comes at us. Life is messy, and unexpected, and is full of surprises, both good and bad. Without those surprises, we would probably all go mad very quickly and grow tired of living a life where we know what is going to happen at any given moment.

Yet, as much as we know we need the unexpected, some of those moments can really make our lives complicated and difficult to deal with, and there is nothing much we can do about it. We just have to find ways to deal with those unpleasant surprises, and hopefully move on from them as quickly as possible. Most of the time, it is much easier said than done, but that does not mean we are not going to try.
