A common, old people complaint that many have nowadays is about individuals who play music or TikToks out loud in public places or transport. It is a reasonable gripe: we have had the magical and (depending on what brand you get) affordable technology that is headphones and earbuds for some time now. Truly, the fact that we get to listen to music, podcasts, audiobooks, or whatever the heck else on the go without bothering anyone else is a technological revelation that many of us don’t fully appreciate just because it is so ubiquitous.
