I’ve seen a lot of crazy advice on Mommy Facebook Groups over the years, especially regarding the best way to feed your kids. The wildest trend that has emerged in the past couple of years is little kids (alongside their parents) just gnawing on full-blown sticks of butter. I remember back in the day when red meat and butter were treated like the boogeyman for heart disease and obesity. Now that we’re in the 2020s, so many people act as if eating red meat and butter every day will connect you back to your caveman ancestry and will fuel your body like no other foods. I know a guy who used to eat a stick of butter a day, and he said that was the best he’s ever felt. I know that meat is probably better for you than processed food, but somehow, I doubt it’s setting you up for a healthy future.
