One minute I was eating Cheez-It Gripz during school lunch and the next I was an adult with a job. The 2000s were a special time. The music was kind of terrible (except for Britney), the TV shows were brightly-colored and loud (but we loved them anyway) and the Razor scooters did more damage to our ankles than was worth it. It might seem early to reflect back on that era, but if you’re like me and you grew up in the 2000s/2010s, odds are it feels like a long time ago to you.
You look at photos from back then and wonder why you crimped your hair and who put you in leggings under a denim skirt. Time has flown. We’re no longer brushing our teeth to Tooth Tunes and dialing into Radio Disney. We’re paying rent and saying «Kids these days.» It’s amazing how fast you can become a curmudgeon.
