It’s tempting to imagine a world that isn’t our own. It’s why billionaires build submersibles to go deep undersea. It’s why other billionaires spend so much money building rocket ships to go to space. Because we want to know what the world is like beyond what we can see. On a side note, why is it always billionaires? I guess cause they’re the ones with the amount of money necessary to fund these expeditions. But I’m sick of that.
Anyway, it’s a human urge to want to know more about the world. We only know what we can witness with our two eyes. We know the topography of where we live. We know our spaces, our animals, and our relationships with other humans. But what would it be like if it was all different? This question can elude us. So if we’re not billionaires, we turned to fiction.
